Angie is back in the pool, bringing smiles to her students’ faces

Diabetes: One more thing on her plate

Angie’s life is crazy busy. Up at 5 AM, working 2 jobs every day. She doesn’t get back home until around 8 PM to spend a little time with her husband and 4 kids before heading to bed, ready to do it all again the next day. “We’re pretty busy,” Angie says. “I rarely have a day off.” It’s a chaotic schedule, and Angie does it with type 2 diabetes.

She was first diagnosed 20 years ago while pregnant with her first child. Even though she quickly progressed to daily injections, she wasn’t afraid. She was annoyed. “It was just one more thing I had to deal with.”

She had to

  • coordinate both long- and fast-acting insulins
  • take insulin 3 times a day, 30 minutes before eating

With her schedule, eating at fixed times and finding privacy to take her injections wasn’t easy.

Life uninterrupted on V-Go

Then, life got a little easier. Angie’s doctor suggested V-Go as an alternative to multiple daily insulin injections and showed her how simple it was to use by putting it on once a day like a patch. “It’s here, and it’s on me,” Angie says. “Now I don’t have to worry about interrupting my life to take multiple daily injections.”

Angie appreciates how easily V-Go fits into her life. She likes that

  • she can put it in different places based on what she’s wearing
  • it is very accommodating and discreet
  • it gives her the insulin she needs all day and night

V-Go is a go-to for people on the go

“V-Go is just small enough; you don’t really know it’s there.”

Since switching to V-Go, Angie’s health has consistently improved, as have her A1c levels. “Rewarding, dependable, and assuring” is how she summarizes her experience with V-Go so far.

For her fellow super-busy working moms with diabetes, she has a message: “Don’t let your schedule control how you manage your diabetes. Go with V-Go so you can simplify your life!”
