When Keisha’s doctor prescribed a fourth daily injection, she said, “No way!”

Keisha hated giving herself insulin shots, and she struggled almost daily. She’d forget, take too much or too little, and end up with nothing but highs and lows. Thanks to V-Go®, Keisha feels more at ease.

Too many needles

She needed a treatment to help ease her worries and fears. She needed something different.

If you met Keisha today, you would never know she had so much trouble managing her type 2 diabetes over the past 12 years.

Today Keisha

  • monitors her diet
  • walks and exercises more
  • wears V-Go every day to help control her blood sugar levels

But this wasn’t always the case. Remembering to take her daily insulin injections was a real challenge for Keisha. “I could never remember if I took the shot or not, so sometimes I would go without them, and other times, I knew I took too much.” This really put her on a roller-coaster ride of highs and lows and not much in-between.

Finding a better way to get her insulin

“It was like the floodgates opened for me. I’m so happy! I love it!”

Keisha hated taking her multiple daily insulin injections so much that when her primary care physician prescribed a fourth daily injection to her routine, she flatly said, “No way! There’s GOT to be something better than this!”

She didn’t have a choice at the time except to manage 4 shots of 2 different insulins in order to keep her sugar levels in check. At her next appointment, her physician introduced Keisha to a new way to manage her insulin delivery. He told her about V-Go, applied once a day, which could replace all of her other insulin shots.

Keisha was afraid to try V-Go, thinking that it would pinch, fall off, or show through her clothes.

She was glad that it didn’t do any of those things for her.

She didn’t want everyone to know she has diabetes. As fate would have it, a V-Go patient was in the office and enthusiastically encouraged her to give it a try. “I never would have guessed she was wearing V-Go.” Keisha tried it and has been a V-Go user and advocate ever since.

On the road to a healthier life

“Don’t be worried! Give V-Go a try and you will be so glad you did!”

She likes saying that using V-Go “influenced change” because it allows her another way to take her insulin as prescribed, which inspires her to do all the other things she should be doing to change her health—and life—for the better, such as eating right and exercising often.
